PGDip (Applied Implant Dentistry)

The Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Implant Dentistry is a formal Level 7 postgraduate qualification, accredited by the regulated UK awarding body, EduQual.  The qualification is aligned with the United Kingdom's Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), allowing use of the letters PGDip (Imp Dent) after your name.

This 1 year course is aimed at experienced dental implantologists who wish to gain a formally accredited postgraduate qualification in dental implantology.

This program is not suitable for beginners or practitioners with little experience in dental impantology.  For our beginners course please see the PGCert in Dental Implantology

The PGDip (Applied Implant Dentistry) consists of 2 assessed elements:


September 2021 to July 2022.  Comprises of 6 modules (5 weeks per module).  Assessment is by weekly 500 word discussion posts and end of module essays.




You will need to submit 6 dental implant clinical case reports

This PGDip program includes the learning requirements for CBCT Level 1 and Level 2 in accordance with the 2020 PHE/FGDP guidelines

The course requires 1,200 notional hours of study and provides 120 academic credits

After successful completion the Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Dental Implantology is awarded
